The hottest piping event of the year.
The European Pipe Band Championships has taken place in Forres, Moray each year at the end of June since 2013, but 2018 was your last chance to enjoy the extravaganza and local hospitality here!
Piping @ Forres, the European Pipe Band Championships, took place in the stunning setting of Grant Park, Forres. Thousands of pipers and drummers from far and wide, in over a hundred bands, competed to be European Champions in their grade. Pipe Majors and Highland Dancers also enjoyed the event, run under the auspices of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association (RSPBA).
The pipe bands gathered on 30 June 2018 from far and wide, across Scotland, the UK, Europe and further afield.
Heralded as “the best major Championship event I’ve been to in a very long time” by one eminent piper and as ” one of the best (events) I’ve attended in a while, really well organised and (with) something for everyone even if you are not a Scottish music enthusiast” by a member of the media, Piping @ Forres includes a range of world class offerings in a friendly and fun environment.
